Apoballis Acuminatissima
The Apoballis Acuminatissima is an impressive Aroid species from Southeast Asia with silver-green, speckled leaves and chestnut-red undersides and stems. This rare plant thrives best in a partially shaded location without direct sunlight and requires a well-draining substrate based on coconut or peat. Optimal temperatures range between 22-26°C during the day and 18-20°C at night. The plant prefers high humidity and regular watering with lime-free, lukewarm water. Avoid cold drafts, dry heating air, and waterlogging. You will receive a fully rooted specimen that matches the size and color shown in the images.
The offered plant comes from my personal collection and propagation; not over-fertilized, therefore robust and healthy (100% organic quality before quantity; no greenhouse culture). Cultivated outdoors between May and October, potted in self-mixed, well-draining organic substrate. The pot contains several plants, and repotting is recommended in 2-3 years, or next spring, when 2-3 new plant families can be propagated. This plant blooms beautifully in white, is not winter-hardy, and brings much joy to its new owner – Apoballis Acuminatissima!
