...from own seed propagation; 3-year-old seedling plant; organically grown in the winter garden; very good and natural growing, potted in a well-drained self-mixed organic substrate; repotting only desired in 2023/-4, with time upright cylindrical leaves WITHOUT leaf blade; not overfertilised therefore robust & healthy (quality before quantity!), not hardy, with time it becomes quite vigorous, the species is slow growing and needs 3-4 years to flower; grown under ideal conditions, S. juncea is flowering and long-lived; the plant is intended for a sunny location, from spring to late autumn (without frost days) the plant is happy to enjoy the fresh air and rain outside; otherwise washing off the leaves (not the substrate) once a week is very good for the plant; enjoy your new Strelitzia juncea (which is still considered an "unknown" Strelitzia species/rarity!
