Alocasia Tiny Dancer (A.Brisbanensis x A.Odoraist)
The Alocasia "Tiny Dancer" is a hybrid cross between the A.Brisbanensis and A.Odoraist. It is popular because of its "dancing" leaves that attract attention in any place.
Offered is one of my daughter plants - about 3years young; with time can grow to about 50-70cm high; from 100% organic cultivation therefore very high quality; planted in self-mixed permeable organic substrate and grown WITHOUT massive fertilizer use therefore robust and top healthy (100% organic quality before quantity!); repotting in the coming year/spring desired; beautiful as a solitary plant; for the room, terrace or conservatory; stem forming.
The plants like it warm and humid (indoors you can spray them regularly with lukewarm water). They grow best in shade, although most species could also grow in some sunlight as long as they get enough water.
Between 05-10, colocasia can be grown as a container plant in the garden, for a sunny to semi-shady location; originating from Central Asia and India. Neither the plant nor the tuber is hardy!
If you want, you can also give the plant a "winter break"; so that only the tuber with the stem (without leaves) comes through the winter at about 15C in the winter quarters. In spring, with enough sun& warmth, it will sprout beautifully again; like all my Colocasias/Alocasias since a few years...
You get the plant of the displayed size.
