Alocasia Zebrina
Would you like to grow your own Alocasia Zebrina, a 100% organically grown plant, in your plant collection?
The tubers have reawakened after the winter growing break, freshly planted in the self-mixed permeable organic substrate, ready for the new location full of sun & warmth.
From our own plant collection; the tubers are from 100% organic cultivation, therefore very high quality; grown WITHOUT fertiliser, therefore robust and top healthy (100% organic quality before quantity!), usually a tuber gets 5-6 leaves at the same time within a year; with good care, of course; the leaves will reach a diameter of approx. 0.5m over time; beautiful as a solitary plant; for the room, the terrace or the conservatory; already with 2-3 leaves - approx. 50cm high - 50cm diameter of the plant, leaf diameter of approx. 20cm.
The plants like it warm and moist (indoors they can be sprayed regularly with lukewarm water). They grow best in the shade, although most species can also thrive in the sun as long as they get enough water. Between May and October, Alocasia, which originates from Southeast Asia, can be grown as a container plant in the garden in a sunny to semi-shady location. Neither the plant nor the tuber are hardy!
