Cymbidium Hybride Pumilow, a member of the 'Cascade Cymbidiums,' originates from the forests of Taiwan, Vietnam, and China, thriving at altitudes up to 2200 meters. Unlike typical Cymbidiums, the flowers of Cascade Cymbidiums gracefully hang down amid the leaves. The name Cymbidium is thought to be derived from the Greek 'kymbos,' meaning boat, which reflects the flower's lip shape.

This earth orchid grows robustly in colder conditions, with roots planted in the soil, obtaining nutrients differently from most orchids. A symbol of friendship and respect in Asia, this orchid blooms between October and March, showcasing its elegant flowers for an average period of four to six weeks.

Discover the allure of our Cymbidium orchid, nurtured from my own propagation and collection through division of our organically grown mother plant. This exquisite orchid transitions from light green to greenish-yellow as it blooms over time. Easy to care for, these orchids thrive in cooler rooms, preferring a modest approach to fertilization for robust health (100% organic, quality over quantity).

Not frost-resistant, they adapt well to semi-shady locations, making them perfect for outdoor placement between April and September. However, direct sunlight and waterlogging should be avoided. Planted in a specially tailored, permeable organic orchid substrate designed for Cymbidiums, repotting is only recommended every 2-3 years. Welcome this beauty into your space and enjoy the elegance of your new Cymbidium orchid!
