Aglaonema is a decorative, low-maintenance houseplant that gets along relatively well with a little less light (but please no "bathroom without a window..."); the cultivated form "Crete Flame"; the basic form is native to the Philippines; the predominantly reddish leaves are very decorative; it is well known for its air-purifying properties, as it is able to remove benzene and formaldehyde from the air.
