Brahea armata / palm tree
Brahea armata / "blue hesperid palm", originating from Mexico; trunk-forming; grown from seed; diameter of the palm crown about 30-40cm, height about 40-50cm, trunk thickness about 5-7cm, not over-fertilised therefore top healthy and robust, slowly grown, always overwintered outside on the house wall, in a protected location hardy up to max -10C; you can then plant out the palm in spring (by the end of July at the latest, so that it can still grow well. ...); needs a VOL sunny location so that the blue-silver discolouration of the leaves does not recede and certainly frost protection; ideal for a winter garden that is not temperate in winter; enjoy your new Brahea armata palm!
