The green basic form - Euphorbia trigona - also known as the African milk tree, is native to Central Africa. From the rejuvenation of its own mother plant, own propagation, planted in a well-drained, self-mixed organic substrate, repotting only desired after one year, not over-fertilised therefore top healthy and robust (100% organic quality before quantity!), slow-growing (with winter growth break), not hardy, very beautiful green-red colouring of the leaves and the plant itself with sufficient sun, please do not use a ‘shady corner’ as a location, avoid waterlogging! Enjoy your new Euphorbia trigona var. ‘Rubra’.

We offer a rare mutation on a plant where two different colour mutations grow out of the stem cutting - 1x the classic green ‘Trigona’ and 2x the ‘Trigona Rubia’; it will certainly be a beautiful plant after a few years!

Did you already know that?

The botanical name Euphorbia is derived from Euphorbos, the Greek physician from the 1st century AD. In 1753, the botanist and taxonomist Carl Linnaeus named the entire genus Euphorbia in honour of this physician.

And yes, that's right, euphorbias are not cacti, even though many of them look quite similar to a cactus.
