Orbea Decaisneana Hesperidum - also known as "Caralluma hesperidum", native to Morocco - where it is also endemic; grows low to the ground and produces light brown shoots with patterns. The star-shaped flowers are black-purple and covered with tiny white papillae. In summer, this unusual succulent is a real eye-catcher; the exotic plant enjoys a location with plenty of light; the brighter, the better. It loves warmth and needs a permeable and loose soil that is nevertheless rich in nutrients. A mixture of compost and sand or perlite is well suited to it; during the growth phase in summer, the plant should be watered moderately - the soil should be moist but not too wet; if the plant is dormant in winter, it should not be watered at all or only very little during this time.

The plant on offer comes from our own succulent collection; from our own propagation - division of the mother plant; fully established; becomes quite compact over time; potted in well-drained, self-mixed organic substrate; repotting only desired in 1-2 years, not over-fertilised, therefore robust & top healthy (100% organic quality over quantity! ), slow-growing, possibly already flowering this year, not hardy, for a semi-shady - but still sufficiently bright/sunny location, please avoid waterlogging; enjoy your new Orbea Decaisneana Hesperidum!
