Butia Yatay is native to the forests of Argentina, Uruguay and southern Brazil - can grow up to 12m high in its natural habitat - with beautiful, feathery, bluish leaves - grows rather slowly - winter-hardy up to about -10C (the young plant should be protected from the cold with winter protection) - grown from seed - overwintered well several times at a southern location (450m a.s.l.) - already well hardened off - no greenhouse cultivation - height acc. to picture - not overfertilised therefore top healthy (100% organic quality before quantity). Picture - not overfertilised therefore top healthy and robust (100% organic quality before quantity!), slowly grown, always overwintered outside on the house wall, you can plant out the palm in spring (by the end of July at the latest, so that it can still grow well...) - also very suitable for a winter garden that is not heated in winter - for a (very) sunny location - enjoy your new "blue" palm beauty - Butia Yatay!
