Kalanchoe Fedtschenkoi
From the rejuvenation of my organically grown mother plant; already very beautifully established; not over-fertilised therefore top ged^sund udn robust (100% organic quality before quantity!); the leaves are beautifully grey-green; green-yellow flower, comes from Madagascar, resp. South Africa, succulent - i.e. for a sunny location, not over-fertilised (therefore healthy & robust), overwintered dry in winter, not winter-hardy; planted in a permeable self-mixed substrate (repotting only desired in 1-2years).
Have you ever wondered where the name "Fedtschenkoi" comes from? Boris Fedchenko was the Russian botanist and director of the Botanical Garden in St. Petersburg and this Kalanchoe is named after him. The botanical green form originates from Madagascar; I have also seen it several times during my trackings in South Africa & La ReUnion... The cultivar 'Variegata', is not very common as a cultivated plant. In English the plant is called 'Lavender scallops'.
