COLOCASIA ESCULENTA ‘Blue Hawaii’ has green heart-shaped leaves with black veins, black-wine-red stems; can grow up to 100-150cm tall (with good care); beautiful as a specimen plant; for indoors, patio or conservatory.

The plants like it warm and moist (indoors they can be regularly rinsed with lukewarm water). They grow best in the shade, although most species can also thrive in the sun as long as they get enough water.

Between 05-10, Colocasia, which originates from Central Asia and India, can be grown as a container plant in the garden in a sunny to semi-shady position. Neither the plant nor the tuber are hardy!
