Clivia Miniata
Clivia miniata - 7 year old plant; from my own plant/clivia collection, "classic" Clivia salmon-pink flowering, not over-fertilised therefore robust & healthy (quality before quantity!), slow growing, not hardy, suitable for partial shade (no direct sun, please!); from the great-grandmother plant, which is in the family for 4 generations, i.e. no new breeding. not a new cultivar; potted in self-mixed permeable organic substrate (repotting is only desired in 3-4 years - only then when the pot has grown through with roots - Clivia like it very tight in the pot... from spring to late autumn (without frost days) the plant is happy to enjoy the fresh air and rain outside (in partial shade); otherwise showering off the leaves once a month is very good for the plant; enjoy your new "Clivia miniata" (a plant with a "history"!).
