Leea Coccinea Burgundy, also known as Hawaiian holly, is a shrub-like plant with decorative bronze-coloured leaves. The Leea genus is native to northern and eastern Australia, New Guinea, south and south-east Asia and parts of Africa. The plant prefers bright light or light shade and well-drained but moist soil. The fast-growing plant forms large inflorescences with berry-like, bright red outer petals, which later turn into black berries.Grown from own stem cuttings; still a rare collector's plant/tree; between May and September (without forestry days) it can be kept in the garden or on the balcony in a bright (but not directly sunny) location; not over-fertilised, therefore top healthy & robust (100% organic quality before quantity!); no greenhouse cultivation; potted in a well-drained, self-mixed organic substrate; repotting only desired after 2-3 years; enjoy your new ‘Leea Coccinea Burgundy’!
