Agave parrasana is endemic to a very small area in south-eastern Coahuila (north-central Mexico), where it grows in the mountainous areas up to 2400 metres above sea level; it has very short, broad leaves that form a dense, symmetrical, spherical rosette shaped like an ‘artichoke’; hardy to approx. max. -10C (in dry soil); already very well hardened off in the location (450 m above sea level) in winter; grown from a small plant, very beautiful strong plant, not over-fertilised, therefore robust and top healthy (100% organic quality before quantity! ), slow-growing; potted in self-mixed permeable organic substrate - freshly repotted in spring 2025 and young plants divided; repotting only desired in 3-4 years; easy to care for (very) sunny locations e.g. on a roof terrace, please avoid waterlogging; overwintering in a dry location with very light watering at most once a month; enjoy your new agave beauty - Agave parrasana!
