Operculicarya borealis - from the family Anacardiaceae - originating from the Orangea and Sahafary forests in the north-east of Madagascar - in its natural habitat the plant can grow up to 2-3m high - from its own seed / propagation - over time forming trunk / caudex - the leaves are shed before / in winter - overwinter at about 10-15C - in winter water very little or not at all - for sunny location then from spring when it will resprout - connoisseur plant for collectors - potted in self-mixed permeable organic substrate. for a sunny location then from spring when it will sprout again - collector's plant - potted in self-mixed permeable organic substrate - repotting only desired in 1 - 2 years - not over-fertilised therefore robust & healthy (100% organic quality before quantity!).
