Alocasia Jacklyn
Alocasia Jacklyn - offered as a fully established plant, currently around 50cm high; can grow to around 100-150cm high over time; from 100% organic cultivation, therefore very high quality; planted in self-mixed, permeable organic substrate and grown without massive use of fertiliser, therefore robust and extremely healthy (100% organic quality over quantity!); no sprays/glossing agents for the leaves; repotting in one year is desirable. Over time, the leaves will reach a diameter of around 0.5-1 metre; beautiful as a solitary plant; for indoors, patios or conservatories.
The plants like it warm and moist (indoors they can be sprayed regularly with lukewarm water). They grow best in the shade, although most species can also grow in some sunlight as long as they get enough water.
Between 05-10. the Alocasia can be grown as a container plant in the garden, for a sunny to semi-shady location. Neither the plant nor the tuber is hardy!
