Grow Your Own Hoya Australis 'Lisa' – Fresh Cutting from Organic Cultivation

The Hoya Australis 'Lisa', often known as the wax flower, is a beautiful and much-loved houseplant. Its heart-shaped leaves feature elegant cream-yellow marbling, giving the variety its distinctive look and charm. Belonging to the dogbane family (Apocynaceae), this variety originates from Australia and is prized for both its attractive foliage and sweetly scented, star-shaped flowers that bloom in clusters.

Hoya Australis 'Lisa' is ideal as a trailing or climbing houseplant, developing long, pendulous shoots over time. It thrives in bright, indirect light and prefers high humidity, which supports lush and healthy growth. The plant should be kept in a well-drained substrate to prevent waterlogging, and watering is only necessary when the topsoil feels dry. Direct sun and frost should be avoided.

Offered here is a fresh, unrooted cutting with two leaves, taken as part of the rejuvenation process from our organically grown mother plant at TOMs FLOWer CLUB. Grown without chemical sprays or glazing agents, our mother plants are nurtured with patience and care – 100% organically, never over-fertilised.

This cutting comes from a slow-growing Hoya that has spent the warm months (April to October) outdoors in partial shade, fully adapted to natural conditions. It’s not winter-hardy and is best grown indoors or in a protected space. With time and proper care, your new Hoya 'Lisa' will develop into a robust, long-shooting plant with fragrant blooms and gorgeous foliage.

Choose TOMs FLOWer CLUB for original cuttings from our personal Hoya collection – sustainably and naturally grown.
