Agave Marmorata, also known as Marble Agave, is a remarkable succulent with a striking appearance. This agave species is characterised by large, fleshy leaves that have an attractive marbling. The leaves are coloured a strong green and have white or cream stripes, spots or patterns that give them an elegant and exotic appearance.

Agave Marmorata grows in a rosette shape, with the leaves arranged in a spiral and opening outwards. The leaves have a slightly wavy or toothed texture along their edges and form a dense and compact plant. The size of Agave Marmorata varies, with mature specimens reaching a height of about 60 to 90 centimetres.

This succulent is known for its adaptability and robustness. It is well adapted to dry and sunny environments and requires little water. Agave Marmorata is an ideal plant for dry gardens or as an eye-catcher in rock gardens. It can also be cultivated well in pots and containers on terraces or balconies.

Agave Marmorata occasionally produces an impressive inflorescence that rises from the centre of the rosette. The inflorescence can reach a considerable height and consists of numerous yellow or greenish-yellow flowers that provide a rich food source for insects.

Please note that Agave Marmorata is not hardy and requires frost-free conditions. In colder climates it should be overwintered either in a conservatory or indoors in a well-lit location.
