Under strong sunlight, the large heart-shaped leaves transform into an almost black, velvety shade, contrasted beautifully by wine-red stems. With good care, your plant will produce 4–6 new leaves every year, each one bigger and more impressive than the last.

Optional Winter Rest

If desired, you may give your plant a winter break:
Let the leaves die back naturally, keep the tuber at around 15°C, and let it dry slightly.
