Hoya cv. Mathilde (Hoya Carnosa x Hoya Serpens)
Hoya Mathilde - a Hybrid Beauty Between Hoya Carnosa and Hoya Serpens
Discover the charming Hoya Mathilde, a cultivated hybrid created in Belgium in the 1990s by crossing Hoya carnosa and Hoya serpens. This rare and beloved plant combines the best of both parents - elegant, small, round, silver-flecked leaves and clusters of delicately fragrant, white to pale pink star-shaped flowers.
Offered plant:
Fully established, grown from rejuvenations of the mother plant from my own Hoya collection at TOMs FLOWer CLUB. Not over-fertilised, therefore robust and top healthy – 100% organic quality before quantity! No sprays or leaf-gloss agents are used, ensuring natural leaf texture and colour.
Care:
Slow-growing and easy to maintain, Hoya Mathilde forms gracefully cascading vines over time - perfect for hanging baskets or shelf displays. It prefers bright, indirect light and should be protected from direct sun. Potted in a self-mixed, well-drained organic substrate, repotting is only desired every 1-2 years. Between April and October, it can thrive outdoors in a shaded location. Avoid waterlogging and cold drafts.
Enjoy your new unique Hoya Mathilde - a small jewel with a big character and timeless elegance.
