Calathea Zebrina
Calathea Zebrina - organically grown | own propagation | decorative velvet leaves
Bring tropical elegance into your home with Calathea zebrina, a striking foliage plant originating from South America, known for its velvety, zebra-patterned leaves and bright, expressive veins. This plant is propagated from the division of my own mother plant, ensuring strong genetics, healthy growth, and authenticity – a core philosophy at TOMs FLOWer CLUB.
All plants are grown organically, without heavy fertilisation, in a carefully prepared, breathable organic substrate. The Calathea zebrina is delivered well-rooted and established in a pot. Repotting is only recommended after 1-2 years, once the pot is fully developed again with new shoots.
With time, this plant becomes lush and bushy and can easily be divided again. Its soft, velvety leaf surface and decorative pattern make it a true statement foliage plant for modern interiors, collectors, and plant lovers alike.
Care & location
Calathea zebrina prefers a bright to semi-shaded location without direct sunlight. Avoid waterlogging. Regular humidity is beneficial. Showering the leaves once per month helps keep the plant healthy and vibrant.
