Eucalyptus Neglecta - Omeo Gum
Eucalyptus Neglecta - Omeo Gum
A cold-tolerant, blue-green statement tree for refined garden spaces
Product Description
Eucalyptus neglecta, known as the Omeo Gum, is one of the most distinctive cold-tolerant eucalyptus species and a refined choice for curated garden landscapes. Originating from the cool, open valleys of south-eastern Australia, this species is celebrated for its remarkably broad, rounded juvenile leaves - a rare trait within the genus and highly valued in contemporary garden design.
The foliage ranges from silvery blue-green to soft slate tones, shifting subtly with the seasons and adding year-round botanical character. Crushed leaves release a gentle, sweet eucalyptus fragrance that is far softer than the sharp scent of more common species.
Grown carefully from my private collection, each plant has been raised with restraint - organically, without over-fertilisation - and acclimatised to local outdoor conditions, ensuring top vitality and resilience.

Eucalyptus neglecta thrives in full sun, well-drained soil, and open air circulation. Water moderately after planting; thereafter the tree becomes drought-tolerant.
