Agave Titanota
Agave Titanota – Rare Offset-Forming Beauty from Oaxaca, Mexico
Looking for a true collector’s gem? Meet the Agave Titanota, a striking, medium-sized agave species native to Oaxaca, Mexico. Known for its bold structure and architectural presence, this rare plant forms a solitary rosette up to 75 cm in diameter when young – and in this exceptional case, comes with 5 young offsets already growing alongside the mother plant. These can be separated and potted individually if desired.
The Agave Titanota matures slowly over 10–30 years, and once in its lifetime, it rewards you with a dramatic flower spike up to 6 meters high, crowned with yellow blooms – a breathtaking moment before it naturally completes its life cycle.
This specimen was organically grown from a small plant, completely free of over-fertilisation or chemical leaf treatments – ensuring a robust, naturally healthy, and top-quality plant that thrives in well-drained, self-mixed organic substrate. Like all true agaves, this one prefers a very sunny location, such as a roof terrace or south-facing outdoor space, rather than being confined indoors. It's hardy down to -3 to -5°C (short-term and only in dry soil), making it a perfect seasonal companion outdoors from spring to autumn.
