Aloe barberae – organically grown tree aloe

Now available at TOMs FLOWer CLUB

The Aloe barberae, also known as the tree aloe, is the largest of all aloe species and a striking, sculptural plant for collectors and garden enthusiasts. Originating from southern Africa, this slow-growing succulent eventually develops a thick trunk and an elegant, branching crown adorned with long, curved, fleshy green leaves.

Our plants come from our own succulent collection, organically grown from healthy young specimens without heavy fertilisation – ensuring 100% quality before quantity. The plants are potted in our self-mixed permeable organic substrate, designed to provide optimal drainage and aeration for strong, healthy root development.

This Aloe is slow-growing and enters a resting phase in winter. It is not frost-hardy and should be kept in frost-free, bright, and sunny conditions during colder months. From spring to autumn, it thrives outdoors in a sunny location. Water moderately, allowing the soil to dry between waterings, and always avoid waterlogging.
