Chamaerops humilis cerifera, also known as "blue dwarf palm" or Moroccan dwarf palm - a subspecies of Chamaerops humilis, a dwarf palm species native to the western and central Mediterranean region - the cerifera subspecies is a compact, multi-stemmed palm that typically grows between 1.5 and 2 metres tall - the stems are covered with brown, fibrous leaf sheaths and bear small, bluish-green fan leaves, which are arranged in clusters - the leaves are typically between 30 and 60 centimetres long - this palm species is very adaptable and can thrive in a wide range of soils and climatic conditions - however, it prefers sunny locations and well-drained soils - it is also very drought-resistant and can withstand prolonged dry spells, although it requires occasional watering to thrive optimally

2-branched - main trunk with side trunk; diameter of the palm crown about 40-50cm, height about 60-70cm (incl. pot), not over-fertilised therefore top healthy and robust (100% organic quality before quantity!), no greenhouse culture, grown slowly, always overwintered outside on the house wall - 450 m above the sea level, in a protected location hardy up to max -10C; you can then plant out the palm in spring (by the end of July at the latest, so that it can still grow well. ...); needs a FULL sunny location so that the blue-silver discolouration of the leaves does not recede and certainly frost protection; ideal for a winter garden that is not temperate in winter.
