Hosta 'Ripple Effect' is an extraordinary and highly distinctive hosta discovered by Mrs. Amy Bergeron at the American nursery Walters Gardens among plants of the famous ‘June’ group. This exceptional cultivar is widely admired for its dramatically curled foliage, outstanding leaf substance and uniquely dynamic appearance.

The narrow leaves emerge in luminous light yellow tones during spring before gradually developing greener shades throughout summer, while the darker green margins create a striking contrast and emphasise the elegant rippled leaf form. The intensely twisted foliage gives ‘Ripple Effect’ an almost sculptural quality rarely seen among hostas.

Considered one of the most remarkable cultivars derived from ‘June’, Hosta ‘Ripple Effect’ is a truly phenomenal collector’s plant with exceptional ornamental character for shaded gardens and sophisticated container displays.
