Light & Cultivation

Jatropha gossypiifolia appreciates very bright light and warmth.

A sunny position is ideal. During the warmer months, the plant can also be placed outdoors and gradually acclimatised to direct sunlight.

As a plant from seasonally dry tropical regions, it should not be kept permanently wet. Allow the substrate to dry partially between thorough waterings and provide excellent drainage.

During the darker and cooler European winter months, watering should be reduced considerably.
