Pelargonium Sidoides
Pelargonium Sidoides originates from the Eastern Cape and the Kingdom of Lesotho, recognized as a medicinal plant. A herbal remedy - Umckaloabo - is produced from its roots and used for acute bronchitis and cough. The offered plant comes from our own Pelargonium collection and propagation. It is not over-fertilized, hence robust and healthy. Easy to care for, it thrives in a sunny location without waterlogging. Potted in a permeable substrate; repotting desired only in the upcoming spring after winter dormancy; then you can certainly take 6-7 stem cuttings for propagation for the following year; simply stunning dark-burgundy delicate flowers, not frost-hardy, overwintering in a bright / 10C location with reduced watering. Enjoy your new "Pelargonium Sidoides"!
