Phalaenopsis Sogo Very Maple – an elegant Sogo Phalaenopsis with a distinctive flower character

A particularly attractive Phalaenopsis from the Sogo breeding line, appreciated for its elegant flowers and distinctive appearance. Phalaenopsis Sogo Very Maple is an interesting choice for orchid lovers looking for something beyond the usual mass-market Phalaenopsis hybrids.

The recognised Phalaenopsis Sogo Maple was registered in 2002 as a cross of Phalaenopsis Gladrose × Phalaenopsis Sogo Tris. The Sogo breeding line is known for producing attractive, floriferous Phalaenopsis hybrids with a strong ornamental character.

The name Sogo Very Maple is used commercially for a particular form of this Sogo-line orchid. As flower colour and pattern can vary between individual plants, the plant offered by TOMs FLOWer CLUB is sold as the actual specimen shown in the photographs.

With suitable care, Phalaenopsis Sogo Very Maple can remain in flower for many weeks and can develop new flower spikes over time. Like other Phalaenopsis, it can be grown successfully indoors when provided with bright, indirect light and an airy orchid substrate.

At TOMs FLOWer CLUB, I prefer Phalaenopsis with an individual character rather than anonymous mass-produced plants. Sogo Very Maple is an attractive addition for anyone who appreciates named orchid hybrids and unusual flowering plants.

Location & care:

• bright, indirect light
• avoid strong midday sun
• warm room temperatures
• good air circulation
• allow the orchid substrate to partly dry between watering
• avoid permanent moisture and standing water
• use a loose, well-draining orchid substrate
• after flowering, allow the plant a suitable resting period before the next flowering cycle

You will receive the Phalaenopsis Sogo Very Maple shown in the photographs, in the size shown. Depending on the season, the plant may arrive before, during or after flowering.
