Sansevieria ‘Chanin Crown’ – Compact Hybrid Snake Plant

Sansevieria ‘Chanin Crown’ is a striking ornamental cultivar of the Sansevieria genus (sometimes classified under Dracaena trifasciata), prized for its architectural, crown-like rosette of upright leaves. This hybrid cultivar comes from my own propagation and has been carefully selected for its compact growth, elegant dark green foliage, and slow, natural development, making it an ideal choice for modern interiors and plant collections. Each leaf shows a subtle, silvery coloration, very similar to Sansevieria pinguicula, creating a true eye-catcher for any collection. This form is still rare in the trade.

Description

Upright, stiff leaves form a dense, radial rosette, resembling a crown. Leaves display a silvery sheen that adds elegance to any interior. Compact and slow-growing, this plant is perfect for tabletops, shelves, or small pots.

Care & Cultivation

  • Light: Prefers bright to sunny locations but tolerates lower indoor light.

  • Water: Drought-tolerant; allow the soil to dry completely between waterings to prevent root rot.

  • Soil: Potted in my self-mixed, permeable bio-substrate, specially adapted for Sansevierias.

  • Temperature: Ideal indoor temperatures; not winter-hardy.

  • Maintenance: Low-maintenance; repot only every 2–3 years. Avoid waterlogging.

Like all my Sansevierias, this specimen has grown slowly and naturally without over-fertilization, with natural winter rest and healthy, robust development — no mass production.

You will receive the plant in the size shown in the photo — no mass-market surprises, only honest, hand-selected quality from over 100 species in my collection.

Sansevierias are not frost-hardy but make excellent indoor air purifiers, improving oxygen levels and contributing to a healthier living environment.
