Sedum Morganianum - also known as "Burro’s Tail" or "Donkey's Tail" is a captivating evergreen succulent, hails from the southern regions of Mexico.

This remarkable plant, with its limited geographical range, is classified as a micro-endemic species, making it a true botanical treasure. Despite its rarity in the wild, it has found its way into various botanical succulent collections worldwide, allowing plant enthusiasts to marvel at its beauty.

Its fleshy, blue-green leaves are adorned with a delicate silvery bloom, creating a mesmerizing visual effect. Come summer, the plant crowns itself with terminal pink to red flowers.

It thrives in bright, indirect sunlight, though it can tolerate brief periods of direct morning or evening sun. However, caution is advised during intense afternoon hours to prevent leaf scorching.

Watering this plant requires a thoughtful approach. The key is to allow the soil to dry completely between waterings, mimicking its natural arid habitat. During the winter months, when the plant enters a period of dormancy, it's crucial to reduce watering to prevent the dreaded root rot that can afflict succulents.

When it comes to planting or repotting Sedum morganianum, a well-draining succulent or cactus soil mix is essential. Ensure the chosen pot has adequate drainage holes to avoid waterlogging, which can be detrimental to the plant's health.

One of the joys of this succulent is its ease of propagation – new plants can be easily grown from leaf cuttings, allowing you to expand your collection or share with fellow plant enthusiasts.
