Strelitzia augusta is a powerful, architectural statement plant with broad, pure dark-green leaves and a naturally elegant growth habit. Grown from our own 100% organic plant collection and propagation, this is a fully established, mature plant cultivated slowly and responsibly - never over-fertilised, always prioritising quality over quantity.

Planted in a self-mixed, well-drained organic substrate, this Strelitzia develops strong roots and healthy, balanced growth. Repotting is not required for the next 1-2 years. Under suitable conditions, the plant grows steadily and naturally, producing around 3-4 new leaves per year. Over time, it becomes increasingly vigorous and stem-forming, developing into an impressive, long-lived feature plant.

Intended for a (very) sunny location, Strelitzia augusta thrives in bright interiors and is equally happy outdoors from spring to late autumn, as long as frost is avoided. Rain and fresh air are highly beneficial; when kept indoors, showering the leaves once a month helps maintain vitality and leaf health. The plant is not frost hardy.
