Care & Growing Conditions

Prefers a bright to sunny location.
From spring through late autumn, the plant greatly benefits from spending time outdoors, provided temperatures remain above freezing. Fresh air and natural rainfall encourage healthy growth.
When grown indoors, a monthly shower of the foliage helps remove dust and supports plant vitality.
Not frost-hardy and should be protected from freezing temperatures.

Flowering

As the plant matures, it can produce the iconic orange and blue flowers that resemble an exotic bird in flight, giving the species its common name, "Bird of Paradise."

Plant Quality

Every plant is cultivated with a focus on long-term health rather than rapid turnover. The root system is well established, and repotting is generally not necessary for approximately one year after purchase.
